"You can always hear people beeping." Residents at the vast Rivendell housing estate off the A612 Colwick Loop Road knew what they were signing up for when they moved to the development beside the busy road.
But they claim speeding on the busy 40mph road has got worse in recent times. Teaching assistant Hannah Ronsome, who was among a number of residents at the Persimmon Homes development to speak out, described hearing screeching. She also said some drivers were known for "doing donuts".
The 34-year-old said: “We do hear it at night. People just drive really fast down the road. You can always hear people beeping. It’s probably got worse recently.
