Amanda Holden was left terrified by The Witch on Britain's Got Talent - and ran off screaming.
The first audition went down in history with fans as they desperately tried to work out who was giving them the scare of a lifetime. As a magicians special aired on ITV1 tonight, fans were still keen to work out who might be behind The Witch costume after previously guessing it could be a top TV presenter like today's host Stephen Mulhern.
As The Witch appeared with a new assistant, a young girl, both Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were left screaming at their terrifying routine, which included a live snake and live maggots.
Amanda was left horrified as the witch revealed a teddy bear and as the head fell off, within the teddy was a live snake. Snow fell over them all as Amanda ran screaming away from the desk and far into the audience.
Horrified, Amanda was spotted looking terrified as she stayed near the audience for safety before The Witch disappeared and she could finally make her return to the judging panel alongside an equally terrified Alesha Dixon.
Since The Witch first appeared on the talent show, fans have been puzzling about who might be behind the costume. Guesses have included Dec Donnelly, who is missing from this magician special, and Stephen Mulhern, who is standing in for Ant and Dec as host.
Speaking about The Witch's return, Alesha shared: "There was one act in particular that I wasn’t happy to see. That was The Witch. I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan at all! There are certain things that I just don’t like.
"The danger acts and anything that is about making you scared or jump or creepy crawlies, I'm just not down for it. I'm sure it's entertaining for people watching at home. The Witch himself is a real character and very entertaining."
Amanda Holden also admitted she wasn't a fan of The Witch being back either as she shared how terrified she was by their return.
"Yeah, and it was even worse than the last time because The Witch had a sidekick, a young girl. When children are in horror movies or dolls come to life in horror movies, that always scares me," she added.
"So they had a sidekick, a beautiful but scary looking child who did such an amazing job, she just did not crack throughout. I think that kind of ghostly innocence is always pretty horrific to watch in a horror film and it's even worse when you've got it in the flesh right in front of you because she's just sort of staring at you with glass cold eyes."
"I’m sure she's absolutely a gorgeous girl, she's probably only my Hollie's age, but I was like, 'oh my God, this is awful!' It’s like being in an episode of Stranger Things. It's so bizarre."
