A man proposed to his girlfriend live on air after winning a pop quiz competition.
Edward Donnelly from Liverpool appeared on Ken Bruce's pop music quiz, PopMaster, on BBC Radio 2 on Monday, January 16. After winning the quiz in "one of the quickest" rounds the station had seen for a while, he was given the chance to mention everybody he knew in a roll call.
After thanking and saying hello to his mum and dad, brothers, and his girlfriend's family among many more, he left one special mention until the end.

Edward said: "And lastly, but by no means least my beautiful girlfriend Holly, will you marry me?" Ken responded by saying: "You don't get that every day. Listen, let us know will you please? Well done you, that was great."
Edward then went on to give a shout-out to his dog, Toby, before thanking the radio presenter for his time. The Scouser won a smart speaker and a signed picture.
The BBC Radio 2 show producer caught up with Edward later in the day to find out what happened after he asked his big question.
Edward said: "Holly said yes straight away! We haven't got any plans for the wedding yet. All our friends are already making plans on our behalf!"
