'Scouse Carlos' stabs man in head with scissors
A man know as 'Scouse Carlos' was caught on CCTV chasing another man into a shop stock room with a pair of scissors.
Ryan McLean, 39, originally from Liverpool but living in Brighton, chased his victim into the convenience store Rishi News in Portslade, Brighton. He then stabbed his victim in the head with the pair of scissors.
The CCTV footage shows the shop worker trying to stop McLean's attack, but he continues with the assault. The victim was taken to hospital with "serious injuries" after a member of the public called 999.

Detective Inspector Neil Phillips, of Sussex Police, said: “Ryan McLean is a violent offender with a significant criminal history, and we are pleased to have taken him off the streets where he can cause no more harm to the public."

Cocaine fuelled thief took police on chase past schoolchildren then crashed stolen car
A cocaine-fuelled thief took police on a chase after stealing car keys from a leisure centre locker.
Shaun Wilkinson, of Woodchurch Road, Oxton, Birkenhead, stole the keys to a red Honda Civic and a mobile phone from a locker at the Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre in Wrexham on Friday, June 17. The keys belonged to a red Honda Civic which was parked outside of the leisure centre.
The 28-year-old got into the car and drove off. The owner discovered her car, keys and phone had been stolen at around 2.10pm and called the police.

Opinions divided as green light given to bar serving alcohol from 9am
A bar and restaurant has divided opinions with plans to serve alcohol in the morning and later at night.
The Old Post Office restaurant and bar in Ormskirk has been given the go ahead to vary its licence by West Lancashire Borough Council. This will allow the premises to serve alcohol from 9am until 1.30am.
Applicant Stuart MacFarlane, of Vici Leisure Group Ltd had requested the sale of alcohol from 9am to 2am, seven days a week and for consumption on and off the premises, due to the sale of breakfasts, brunch and takeaways. However, councillors agreed on Monday to an end time of 1.30am for alcohol sales.
