A new league table of Scottish universities has been published, ranking them from best to worst.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023 details all 14 of Scotland's universities and how they ranked, as thousands of students returned or started this month.
The University St Andrews was found to be the best, and it even came second in the UK-wide list too. The academic league table is made up of data from eight indicators including student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, and degree results.
And the Fife institution scored the highest, with the University of Edinburgh following closely behind.
Two Glasgow universities came next - the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde.
The University of St Andrews topped the UK-wide list last year, beating out Oxford and Cambridge, and was the first Scottish university to ever do so. It was famously once home to the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate.
It was founded in the 15th century and is the third oldest institution in the English-speaking world.
