Scottish fans of This Morning were left flabbergasted as the daytime television programme decided to celebrate Burns Night with some traditional dishes from the nation.
The TV cook Suzanne Mulholland tried her hand at Scottish cult classic, stovies, but viewers said that her recipe was so far from the original and that Robbie Burns would be "turning in his grave". Holly and Phil were joined by Suzanne on Wednesday's show, they tried some Scottish classic foods, the Daily Record reports.
But fans were not pleased at Suzanne's iteration of stovies, as they said it was not a true portrayal of the dish, and ended up resembling corned beef hash more than what she was attempting to make. One gripe that many viewers had with the dish was the fact that Suzanne added tomatoes to the traditionally potato-laden dish.

The chef demonstrated how to create the one-dish recipe, by adding in tomatoes and corned beef. Viewers flocked to social media to express their outrage at her apparent lack of knowledge on the national classic.
One Twitter user exclaimed: "TOMATOES IN STOVIES ARE YOU F*****G KIDDING ME, Rabbie Burns will be turning in his bloody grave."
Another added: "Sorry no tomatoes in traditional Scottish stovies."
A third fumed: "Anyone who claims that is stovies should be disowned by Scotland. That was a corned beef hash and not even a good one at that!!!!"
And a fourth said: "That was in no way stovies, and any Scot who says otherwise should be disowned by the rest of the nation!!!!"
More comments read: "#ThisMorning stovies are a #Hogmanay dish. A Scot would be disappointed to sit down to a plate on #BurnsNight. A fantastic dish, but not tonight thanks @thismorning."
And one noted: "Wow @thismorning seriously stovies is not “corn beef hash” weirdest Scottish take on stovies ever!!! Tomatoes? worcestershire sauce?."
In the days leading up to Burns Night, Phil and Holly tucked into some Scottish lager, haggis toasties and the traditional dish of haggis, neeps and tatties on the ITV show.
The pair were joined in the studio by Deeny's Scottish Flavour toastie van who rustled up some haggis goodness for them.
Phil opted for the full version, as Holly had the vegetarian option, which included veggie haggis, cheese, caramelised onions, mustard and garlic butter.
Phil said: "I'm going for the full on haggis version, because I love it!"
Holly also tucked in and said: "That's tasty!"
Phil replied: "That's hearty! That's going to warm you up and keep you going."
