A Scottish sporting legend will appear on an episode of popular BBC One gameshow, Bridge of Lies.
The series – which became the BBC’s best-performing new daytime quiz show of the previous 12 months when it first aired in March 2022 – will return on Saturday January 14, with teams of celebrity contestants competing for the first time.
Much-loved actor and presenter Kemp, fondly remembered for his role as Grant Mitchell in EastEnders as well as presenting a number of critically-acclaimed documentaries, will preside over the celebrities as they try to win money for charity by crossing the bridge, careful to step on the truths and avoid the lies, or risk falling off and out of the game.

The contestants in each star-studded team all have something in common. Scottish tennis icon Judy Murray will be joined by ex-footballer David James, former rugby player Ugo Monye and fellow Scot and ex-footballer Pat Nevin.
Ross also noted that Judy and Pat's episode was one of his favourite to film. The host said: "All the celebrities were great though. I have to say, David James’ knowledge of cats in episode five left my jaw on the floor.
"All of that team – Judy Murray, Ugo Monye and Pat Nevin – were all incredibly bright individuals.
"The great thing about Bridge is that it doesn’t matter if it’s a team of sports stars or firemen or people working in the NHS – it gives everyone the opportunity to shine. It’s not necessarily about knowing one answer; it’s about knowing all the other answers!"
Ross Kemp's Bridge of Lies will return Celebrity style to BBC One on Saturday, January 14 at 6:05pm.
