Scottish Music Industry Association names new chief executive

SMIA Scotland Pandemic

The Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) has appointed Ronnie Gurr as its chief executive, with immediate effect.

He will lead the SMIA’s executive team and work with the board to support the sector's recovery following the pandemic.

Gurr is a former journalist and music consultant who has worked in the business since the 1970s.
