Scottish man wins neighbour war over 40ft trees that made his life 'a misery'

A Scottish man has successfully pushed for his neighbours 40ft trees to be chopped down, claiming he was unable to grow plants because of them.

Ker Hamilton, who lives in Balgowan, said that William Buchan’s trees were making his life a misery. Hamilton said the spruce trees blocked sunlight to his detached property, adding they also impacted his children playing in the garden after school.

Hamilton looked to Perth and Kinross Council in a bid to have the trees lopped. They ruled in his favour and ordered the two trees be completely removed while 15 cypress trees were to be reduced in height, according to the Daily Record.
