When it comes to the dating scene, very few of us can say that someone has travelled thousand of miles to see us - let alone for a first date.
However that's exactly what one Scottish man did - and it's safe to say people are impressed and left invested in their love story.
Taking to TikTok, Bridget Kelly - also known as @fabledbridge - shared her dating journey and how the two met.

In her first video she said that she ended a relationship after he wasn't able to provide her with what she needed to be in a relationship with him.
So looking for love elsewhere, the American set out to find a romantic partner away from the US and decided she wanted a Scottish man.
She searched high and low by using Tinder Passport and looked in areas including Glasgow, Edinburgh and even Dublin.
According to the dating app, Tinder Passport is a paid feature that lets users explore other cities virtually by just choosing the preferred location by searching or by pinning it on the map to see singles available in that area.
After three days on the app, she met a man called Patrick from Falkirk and after the second week of chatting, Bridget said she had a wedding which Patrick offered to attend by being her date.
Having been granted a two year visa as his mum was born in America, the Scot flew across the pond and eight weeks later they met for the first time.
Patrick also made a TikTok video describing his story - known as @paddycampbell685 - he said: "Back in January of 2022 after Covid I fell out with my partner at that time - long story into that one - but I moved on after that and joined Tinder which is one thing I've never used before and I've never snapchatted in my life at 32 years old.

"So I joined Tinder and a couple of months later I got a message from somebody I thought was very bonnie, very pretty. I was talking to her and I swear she looked like she was from Edinburgh which really f****** confused me but she wasn't - turned out she was from America - 4,700 miles away in Wisconsin in a place called New Glarus."
After a few months of talking he says was invited to America for a wedding and showed his bags which were ready and packed as he waited for his brother in-law to pick him up to take him to the airport.
Flying from Glasgow to Dublin just this week on May 16 and then waiting 14 hours before getting on a flight to Chicago and finally to her hometown, Paddy said he was nervous but excited describing it as "f****** insane" before ending the video with a nervous laugh adding "I'm going to America."
In her next update, she recorded the moment they met for the first time at the airport and it's pretty adorable.
In response to her videos people were loving the romance and others were keen to know how to snap up a Scottish lad.
One asked: " Inquiring minds want to know… how does one get a Scottish beau? The American ones are children."
Another said: "Handsome, dresses well, killer tatts, Scottish accent and travelled halfway across the world to see you. Winner 10/10."
A third yelled: "I HAVE SO MUCH INVESTMENT IN THIS STORY."
Bridget said to her followers the moral of the story is 'if he wanted to, he would'.
