A man has tragically died after he got into difficulty during a routine scuba dive at the weekend.
A huge emergency response had been called out to save him at Kinghorn Beach in Fife after reports of the organised event going wrong on Sunday.
The coastguard, police and ambulance crews had been pictured on the beach during the attempted rescue, however police have since confirmed the man did not survive.
