Scottish island fish firm fined £450,000 after man 'became entangled in machine'

A FISH processing company in Shetland has been fined more than £450,000 after one of its employees suffered life-threatening injuries on the job.

Pelagie Shetland had pleaded guilty to health and safety failings after senior operative Curtis New became entangled in a palletiser machine on October 10, 2024.
