The UK Foreign Travel Advice has issued a travel warning to all holidaymakers heading to France as the October holidays are just round the corner.
The FCDO are warning holidaymakers over strike action and related petrol and diesel shortages that could impact their holidays.
This comes as France oil workers have voted to continue to strike following a dispute over pay which has led to a quarter of petrol stations run out of fuel.

As gov.uk warns: "Due to strike action, there are currently shortages of petrol and diesel at some fuel stations in mainland France.
"Some fuel station operators are limiting how much you can buy. The French Government is advising motorists to avoid filling up where possible. There may be queues at fuel stations."

They add: "Demonstrations can take place in France, often in major cities. If demonstrations do turn violent, a heavy police/gendarmerie presence is to be expected. In all cases, you should avoid demonstrations wherever possible and follow the advice of the local authorities."
French oil refinery employees voted Wednesday to continue to strike, marking the third week of industrial action, despite a government order for some of them to return to work in a bid to get fuel supplies flowing.
