Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross tests positive for coronavirus

Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has revealed he has tested positive for coronavirus.

The MP for Moray and MSP for the Highlands and Islands region was due on the campaign trail in Peebles today ahead of the council elections next month, however the trip has now been cancelled.

As a result of contracting the virus Ross has now cancelled all events this week as he is permitted to self-isolate.
