Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone have launched a Taylor Swift-inspired football kit.
The Perth side have announced a new shirt takes inspiration from success of local businesses - including fashion company Little Lies who recently shot to fame after Taylor Swift wore one of their dresses.
The third kit will also help three charities with Fans Supporting Foodbanks on the front of the jersey, Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance on the back and Saints in the Community on the sleeve. Proceeds from the sale of the shirt will be split between the three charities.
The kit design is based on the dress worn by the pop sensation which was designed by Jade Robertson who owns the Little Lies fashion brand.
After discussions with St Johnstone owner Adam Webb, St Johnstone supporter Jade - who is daughter of former player Billy Beatson - created the new shirt.
“Taylor Swift wore our dress and it went completely viral with media outlets across the world,” explained Perth-native Jade, owner of Little Lies.
“It was not just local or national, but worldwide. We sold a huge amount of the dress at the time and it is continuing to sell well.
“Adam got in touch with us, he loved the story and loved that it had such an impact. Being an American owning St Johnstone, he wanted to do something to bring it all together. And I’m always up for a challenge!
“The wider this story can go, the more good we can do. I think that is why we wanted to launch before Christmas.
