Scottish care home residents will have rights to have loved ones as carers

The Scottish Government have announced that loved ones of care home residents will now have the right to visit and care for them.

Family members will be recognised as carers, even during a coronavirus outbreak, as new standards at care homes aim to put Anne's Law into effect.

Ministers say legislation which would enshrine the changes in law is currently being prepared.
