Napoli have reached an agreement to sign Scott McTominay from Manchester United.
The deal hinges on all parties finalising the player's terms, with Manchester United poised to receive €30million (£25.4million) along with a sell-on percentage.
McTominay’s position at Old Trafford has been uncertain throughout the summer, as the club looks to offload players to meet Financial Fair Play regulations.
Mason Greenwood, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek, Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala are among the high-profile recent departures.
As a product of the youth academy at Carrington, McTominay's transfer would be recorded as pure profit for the club.
This move is expected to facilitate Manchester United's pursuit of his potential successor, Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, which has now become a priority for the team.

McTominay featured 43 times for Manchester United last season and then went on to play all three group matches in Scotland's Euro 2024 quest during the summer.
It's thought that Napoli also want to bring McTominay's international teammate, Billy Gilmour, to Serie A, with Fabrizio Romano stating that this deal isn't an alternative and the Italian club will aim to sign both players before Friday's transfer deadline.
