Scott McTominay has been pictured back in training for Manchester United ahead of Sunday’s derby.
The midfielder has been missing for United’s last two fixtures against Atletico Madrid and Watford in the Champions League and Premier League respectively. The Scot was a surprise absentee when United made their way to the Wanda Metropolitano last week.
McTominay missed both games through illness, with Ralf Rangnick confirming he had felt unwell hours ahead of kick-off in Madrid. His situation did not improve ahead of the clash with the Hornets, leading to him being left out once again.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Friday, Rangnick said: "He is still ill, he hasn't been training with us, so hopefully he will start training with us again next week."
McTominay looks as though he will be back for Sunday’s derby against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The 25-year-old was pictured in training with United on Wednesday as they prepare for their clash against the neighbours.
Rangnick is expected to provide a fresh update on the midfielder’s fitness when he speaks to the media later this week and it's hoped McTominay could be in a position to reclaim his spot back in the side.
Fred started in Madrid in his place, while Nemanja Matic deputised on Saturday after impressing off the bench in the Champions League. The Serb was also perhaps the pick of the bunch against Watford, meaning McTominay could have his work cut out to reclaim his spot.
