Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick admitted it has been a “huge adjustment” losing her as his “best friend” while she grew closer to Travis Barker.
The 38-year-old reality star, who dated Kardashian on and off until 2015, reflected on how their co-parenting dynamic had changed since she became romantically involved with the musician.
During the series premiere of The Kardashians, Disick confided in Khloe Kardashian about the impact of his ex moving on.
Disick - who shares kids Mason, Penelope and Reign with Kourtney Kardashian - explained he is finally ready to move on.
However, he is still adjusting to losing his former partner as a best friend and felt like he’s missing out on some family activities.
“Now that Kourtney’s got her life with Travis, as hard as it is, it does give me a place to finally be able to move on,” Disick told Khloe Kardashian.
The dad-of-three also revealed growing distant from Kourtney Kardashian felt like one of the “more difficult things” in his life.
He added: “It was a huge adjustment losing Kourtney romantically, but now it’s becoming a huge adjustment losing her as a best friend. Now we’re really just more co-parents. I’d say it’s probably one of the more difficult things in my life.”
Disick remains on good terms with the Kardashian family, but he admitted he felt “left out” when he wasn’t invited to a BBQ that was attended by his ex and Barker.
Although Disick is coming to terms with the changing dynamic, he has also accepted that Kourtney Kardashian has found love. He added: “She’s in a real thing and I believe that’s true.”
He also told Khloe Kardashian that he is ready to settle down and find someone to spend his life with.
Disick debuted his new romance at the recent premiere of the new Hulu reality show, The Kardashians.
The reality star hit the red carpet with 27-year-old Scottish model Rebecca Donaldson. Also attending the event was Kourtney Kardashian and Barker as well as Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Pete Davidson.
Kourtney Kardashian recently exchanged her vows with Travis Barker with their words officiated by an Elvis impersonator in a Las Vegas chapel.
It took place in the early hours in the morning after they attended the Grammys.
However, Kourtney Kardashian revealed the couple didn’t seek a marriage licence before the ceremony.
