Scott Brown hailed the performance of Northern Ireland youngster Sam Glenfield following Fleetwood Town's 2-2 draw with Manchester United Under 21s in the Papa Johns Trophy.
Head coach Brown was quick to praise the 'passion and desire' of the 17-year-old forward who impressed at Highbury.
The youth international only joined Fleetwood from Portadown in the summer and has hit the ground running at the League One club.

Glenfield has already made two senior appearances under Brown, both coming in the Papa Johns competition.
“A young lad Sam Glenfield was fantastic today," former Celtic skipper Brown said.
"His understanding of how to play that position, and he’s not been in that position a lot, but his work rate, determination, his willingness to win the ball in the tackle, it’s great to see a young kid having that passion and that desire."
He added: “Take nothing away from Man United, they’re an excellent team and I’m sure they’ve got a lot of players that are going to have fantastic careers.
“In the first half, they gave us a lesson on how to keep the ball, an understanding of their game plan as well. They really caused us problems, we couldn’t solve it on the park, but in the second half I thought we did that a lot better and there were a lot of good performances as well.
“We controlled the game at times, we were always going to get put under a little bit of pressure, and at the end, we needed to score another goal to go through, so we were pushing bodies forward and we were always going to get counter-attacked at some point.”
