Scott Brown made a name for himself as a natural winner at Celtic - now he's taking that train of thought down the road to Fleetwood Town.
After accusing his side of getting 'bullied' in certain areas during an opening weekend defeat to Port Vale, he watched Joe Garner turn in an 88th minute winner during their 2-1 League One success against Plymouth. Former Rangers forward Ryan Hardie had put the away side ahead before Daniel Batty hit back for the Cod Army, and Garner sparked scenes of jubilation.
Brown was appointed boss of the third tier English side earlier this summer, 12 months on from ending his trophy-laden Celtic spell, sandwiching in a short stay in Aberdeen during that time. He says building the habit of winning is key for his plans: “It’s a great honour to be a manager but, first and foremost, getting the three points is incredible and the lads’ work rate throughout pre-season has been great.

"Last week, I was a little bit disappointed with the second-half performance, but this performance was so different. The lads pressed them up the park and the work rate for the 90 minutes was exceptional.
“It’s about the winning mentality now, it’s about making it hard for teams coming here as we are going to make them work. For us, this is a good step, but we know that there is more to offer.”
