SCOTT BAIN is set to remain at Celtic this season due to Champions League ruling.
The former Hibs and Dundee man is third in line for a goalkeeping starting spot behind Joe Hart ad Benjamin Siegrist, but he is set to fight it out with the pair for the Hoops' No1 jersey.
Champions League ruling means Celtic need at least three goalkeepers across two squad lists that they must submit to Uefa ahead of the competition starting.
This season’s squad deadline is September 2 2022 and Ange Postecoglou will be able to name 25 players in an A list ahead of the group stages getting underway.
Both Ross Doohan and Vasilis Barkas have departed Celtic already this summer leaving the club with just three keepers in the squad and they will all be needed to meet European requirements.
Conor Hazard is still on Celtic’s books but reports have suggested that he is likely to make his current HJK Helsinki loan move a permanent one.
Bain recently signed a contract extension that will keep him at Celtic until 2024.
