Gio van Bronckhorst insists Rangers want to keep Scott Arfield at Ibrox beyond this season.
The Rangers star is out of contract at the end of the season and free to discuss a pre-contract with other clubs.
Despite being a regular under Van Bronckhorst, his future remains up the air and links have emerged with clubs in America.
Turkish sides Alanyaspor and Hatayspor have been mooted as potential suitors at the end of the season for the popular midfielder.
But the Dutchman insists that the club are keen to keep him at the club long-term.
The Rangers boss said: “Scott is an experienced player and has done well in each of the seasons he has been here.
“He is definitely someone I want to have longer at Rangers. Hopefully we can welcome him next season as well.”
Arfield made a scoring return to the side against Livingston ahead a crucial run in for the Premiership leaders.
The Canada cap, who retired from international football earlier this month, is back to full fitness ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Ross County and with the top of the table clash with Celtic just days away.
