Scots are set to bake in 21C heat this weekend as temperatures are forecast to soar across the country.
The Met Office is anticipating much of the country to hit the high teens over this Saturday and Sunday.
Glasgow is expected to see the best of the conditions on Sunday afternoon, with the thermostat set to peak at 21C.
Scotland is forecast to remain dry over the course of the weekend, giving sun gazers their first glimpse of what may come over the summer months.
Met Office Meteorologist Aidan McGivern said: “High pressure will become centred over the UK for Saturday, which will lead to dry and hot weather.
“Later into the weekend, that high pressure drifts further east which will draw up even warmer air - perhaps a sign of things to come for next week.”
Prior to the mid-spring sunshine, Scotland is expected to be battered by heavy showers for much of the week.
“For the next few days, some changeable weather. Some much-needed rainfall in place, but not enough to make up for the shortfall we’ve seen in recent months”, Aidan continued.
