A police officer was rushed to hospital after a collision on a Scots road.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on the A92 westbound at Lochgelly on Sunday, April 9.
The stationery police car was struck by a silver Mercedes Vito while attending to a broken down motor at the roadside. The officer has since been released from hospital but a 37-year-old man has been charged with alleged road traffic offences.
A report will now be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Footage from the scene shows a large number of police vehicles racing up the A92 towards the scene of the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.10 pm on Sunday, 9 April 2023, a silver Mercedes Vito collided with a police vehicle westbound on the A92, Lochgelly.
"The police car had been parked to shield another vehicle that had broken down on the road.
"A male police officer was injured following the incident and was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment. He has since been discharged.
"A 37-year-old man has been charged with alleged road traffic offences and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
"The A92 westbound at Lochgelly was closed for approximately 3.5 hours."
