Scots man missing since Friday as police investigate 'out of character' disappearance

A Scots man who has been missing since Friday has sparked an urgent police search.

Craig Haughie vanished from his home in Greenock, Inverclyde at around 11am.

He has never been reported missing before and his disappearance has been dubbed 'out of character'.

The 38-year-old is described as white, 6ft in height and of slim build.

He was wearing a black jacket and dark-coloured trousers with white and yellow Nike Air Jordan trainers when he disappeared.

He was last seen driving a white Renault Clio with the registration number SG61 KUS.

Officers say they are growing 'increasingly concerned' for Craig's wellbeing and are carrying out enquiries and appealing to the public for help in tracing him.

Craig is believed to frequent the local area as well as the Paisley area.

Police are urging anyone with any information on the man's whereabouts to come forward.

Sergeant Scott Clark from Greenock Police Office said: “This is out of character for Craig and we have been carrying out searches and enquiries to try to trace him.

"We are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing and just want to ensure that he is safe and well.

“Craig usually frequents the local area and the Paisley area.

"When he was last seen he was driving a white Renault Clio with the registration number SG61 KUS.

"If anyone has seen Craig or the car since Friday, or has any information that may help us trace him, please contact us on 101 with reference number 4204 of 16th April 2022.”
