A Scots girl has vowed to keep her holiday romance alive - despite living 400 miles apart from her boyfriend.
Beth Clinkscales, 19, went on holiday with her pals to Magaluf last summer after coming out of a relationship.
The 19-year-old, from Livingston, said she was desperate to have some fun on the Spanish island, but quickly found herself drawn to Amir Saleh, 19, who was staying at the same resort as her with his group of mates.
The pair agreed to stay in touch after leaving Magaluf - despite Beth being from Scotland and Amir being from Wales.
And, after meeting up back in the UK at a festival several weeks later and finding the spark was still there, Beth flew to visit Amir - where he asked her to be his girlfriend.
Now the pair don't let the 400-mile distance keep them apart and fly across the country to visit each other every few weeks.
They are even booking to return to Magaluf with their friendship groups again this year - except this time as an item.
Beth said: "In Magaluf, we kept bumping into each other and I really liked him, but I thought it was too good to be true.
"I didn't think I wanted anything serious at the time, but when we spoke it felt like we'd known each other for years.
"I had only just ended a relationship at the time and had no intention of starting another - especially not on a girls' holiday.
"But treated me the exact way I wanted to be treated and did everything right without even trying.
"Now we have a long-distance relationship and every six weeks I get on a flight to see him, but it's all worth it."
Beth, a paramedic science student, was out in Magaluf with six of her close girlfriends last summer.
After flying out on July 18, the girls enjoyed nights out and the party atmosphere - but kept bumping into one group of lads.
Beth told how she wasn't looking for a relationship but one of the lads called Amir, a takeaway owner, caught her eye.
She said: "I didn't think I wanted anything at the time - I was only really looking for something short and fun.
"I'd just come out of a relationship and I had no intention of starting another."
The pair spoke intermittently over the week-long stay before both departing to go home.
But the pair ended up meeting up a month later at Creamfields music festival in Daresbury, Cheshire, after both their groups decided to attend.
Beth told how they once more felt drawn to each other and grew close over the weekend.
She said: "I didn't think I wanted anything serious at the time. But when we spoke it felt like we'd known each other for years."
She added: "I thought it was too good to be true - I got a bit upset when I had to say goodbye.
From then spoke every day, and within a few weeks Beth was on a flight from her home in Livingston to go and see Amir in Cardiff, Wales.
They quickly became inseparable and Amir introduced Beth to his family before asking her to be his girlfriend days later, on October 3, 2021.
They have maintained the relationship since then and Beth says their relationship now is better than ever.
Every three weeks, one will fly to see the other for the weekend, and they are thriving in their relationship despite the long distance.
Beth told how they are even now discussing when she may be able to move down to live with Amir in Wales when she finishes her degree at Queen Margaret University, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Beth said: "I had no intention of starting another relationship but Amir treated me the exact way I wanted to be treated.
"He did everything right without even trying. I didn't really expect it to last after we left Magaluf.
"People don't expect you can ever go on a girls holiday and find someone - but it is possible!"
She added: "I never expected to be in a long-distance relationship. It's a big commitment but its worth it.
"He's 400 miles away but he's my biggest supporter."
