An Easyjet flight travelling from Scotland to Amsterdam declared a mid-air emergency over the North Sea.
The plane took off from Glasgow International Airport at 2.50pm on Monday, June 19 and was due to arrive in the Dutch capital at 5.25pm. However, a squawk 7700 code was signalled by the aircraft, signalling an emergency on-board.
Traffic control in the area were alerted to the mid-air emergency while the plane was flying over the North Sea. Eastjet has confirmed the aircraft had experienced a technical issue.
A spokesperson said: "EasyJet can confirm that flight EJU7836 from Glasgow to Amsterdam yesterday afternoon experienced a technical issue on arrival into Amsterdam where the flight landed in accordance with operating procedures and passengers disembarked normally.
"The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is EasyJet’s highest priority, and easyJet operates its fleet of aircraft in strict compliance with all manufacturers’ guidelines.”
