A Scots drug dealer who hid £12,000 worth of heroin in the woods has been sentenced to more than six years behind bars.
Paul Boardman, 36, was arrested by officers investigating a country lines drugs supply from Liverpool to Aberdeen in June 2021.
During their enquiries, police found a package of heroin, with an estimated street value of £12,000, buried in a wooded area between Balgownie Drive and Kettocks Mill Road in Aberdeen and also seized £50,000 in cash.
Boardman pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs at Aberdeen High Court on Thursday, 6 April.
Detective Inspector Rob Sim said: “We believe Boardman had a lead role in orchestrating drug supply in Aberdeen.
"He thought he could operate his illegal activities with no consequences, however, his conviction and sentencing demonstrates no-one is above the law.
“If anyone has any concerns regarding drug dealing please report it to us.
"We are well aware of the damage drugs cause in our local communities and by working together we can remove them from our streets.”
