Scots dad pays tribute to wife after cancer death by raising £20,000 in her memory

A Scots dad has paid tribute to his late wife and raised over £20,000 in her name after she died from cancer. Stuart Jameison, from Bo'ness, raised the cash in memory of his wife Eva, who "kept smiling" right until the end, despite battling the horrific disease.

The 46-year-old has now won an award for his inspiring fundraising in the community, following Eva's death at just 37 years old in 2018. Eva was diagnosed with a very rare form of the disease called Pseudomyxoma, which starts in the appendix as a small growth, called a polyp. She had undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy before she died.

The pair met when they both worked at a local recreation centre and bonded over their love of cycling as Eva continued the hobby even after her diagnosis, Edinburgh Live reports. After her death, the dad-of-two chose to take on a huge number of physical challenges all over the country, collecting huge donations for the Marie Curie charity.
