A council worker is tonight being hailed a “true hero” after saving an unconscious woman trapped in a fire — then calmly fitting a bath panel at his next job.
Quick-thinking Colin Pettigrew leapt into action during Friday morning’s blaze drama in Drongan.
The selfless joiner grabbed his ladder and scaled the first floor of the property before reaching the woman inside.
