Scots cops renew appeal to trace missing teen after young accomplice traced

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information on a Lanarkshire youngster who remains missing a week after disappearing with an accomplice.

Kullin Lawson, 15, was last seen with John-Paul Cruden, 14, on Tuesday March 8 in the Airdrie Road area of Plains, just outside the North Lanarkshire town of Airdrie.

Police Scotland says that John-Paul was traced earlier today following an extensive missing persons appeal.

However, they remain concerned about Kullin's welfare and have been unable to trace the teen to date.

Officers believe the 15-year-old may have initially travelled to Aberdeen after going missing but could now be in the vicinity of Motherwell.

Kullin is described as being 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

When he was last seen he was wearing a black and white Mackenzie brand jacket, a black hoodie, grey joggers and black trainers. He was carrying a black pouch-style bag.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Anyone who may have seen Kullin, or who has any information which could be relevant, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number PS-20220308-3380."
