Scots cops find luxury motor stolen 320 miles away in Birmingham sparking probe

Police Scotland officers have discovered a luxury motor that was reported stolen 320 miles away in Birmingham.

The Range Rover was found displaying cloned number plates in Fingask Avenue, Glenrothes, Fife, on Saturday after being nicked from down south on September 24.

The dark-coloured vehicle was loaded onto the back of a flatbed truck and was being taken for examination by specialist forensic officers in a bid to catch the culprits.

Sharing a picture of the vehicle, Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit tweeted: “Fife Road Policing recovered this stolen Range Rover in Glenrothes today.

"It was originally stolen in Birmingham on the 24/09/22 and was found displaying cloned number plates.

“Hopefully the owner will get it back after our forensics colleagues have a look at it.”

Police Scotland have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
