A Scots company director built a sick collection of child abuse images, including toddlers as young as two.
Lindsay Holman was snared after cops swooped on the East Lothian home he shared with his wife.
The 64-year-old, who once held a senior role with technology firm Panasonic, amassed the perverted haul over five years.
The videos and photos featured boys and girls between the ages of two and 14.
Shamed Holman donned a black hat, mask and sunglasses as he left Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday after pleading guilty to possessing indecent images of children.
Fiscal depute Anna Chisholm said police were granted a search warrant for Holman’s address in Haddington.
Ms Chisholm said officers arrived at the property on May 25 last year and found Holman at home with his wife.
The court heard cops quizzed Holman, who denied accessing child abuse imagery, and confiscated several electronic devices.
Ms Chisholm said a systems unit was used to access nearly 500 indecent images of children, including 84 photos at Category A - the worst level.
The court was told the examination of a laptop also uncovered almost 500 images, 46 at Category A. The laptop also contained 17 Category A videos.
An external hard drive held a Category A video while a second hard drive had more indecent images on it.
Holman admitted possessing indecent images of youngsters at his home between August 20 2016 and May 25 2021.
According to company records, Holman was managing director of research firm Televisua Ltd during much of this period.
Companies House records showed Holman applied to dissolve the company in June 2020.
Holman’s listed areas of expertise include digital video and TV, mobile devices, consumer electronics, and interactive television.
Defence agent Peter O’Neill said his client had recently retired.
Sheriff Kenneth Maciver deferred sentence on Holman until next month for reports.
The sheriff granted a Crown motion for forfeiture of the seized devices and placed Holman on the sex offenders’ register.
