Scots actor Ryan Fletcher and the creative team behind his previous pantomime successes is back with a bean for Christmas 2022 - oh yes they are!
The actor, of Pennyworth (HBO Max), Outlander, River City and Gary: Tank Commander fame, has once again put together another festive jolly and will be back at Carrigan's Blantyre this December with his brand new panto, Jock and the Blantyre Beanstalk.
Following on from the success of ‘Blantyrella’ and ‘Aladdie’, this year's panto fun will see Jock and his mammy, Madam Trott, live happily on Wilkies Farm, but when Jock is tricked into selling his best friend Daisy the cow to the evil master of disguise known as Fleshcreep, he sets off on an epic adventure to bring her home.
For anyone who was lucky enough to have seen any of Ryan's previous productions you will know you’re in for a rollercoaster ride of a show.
Expect high energy adventure, plenty of laughs and some great tunes too. You can even book into Carrigan’s for a pre (or post) theatre meal as the event promises to be the "perfect Christmas outing for the whole family."
Alongside Ryan, who plays Fleshcreep, on the mainstage is some other familiar Scots faces in Joshua Haynes (Jock) who younger audiences will be sure to recognise as big brother Mack, from CBEEBIES Molly & Mack. Outlander's Keith Fleming will be giving yet another stellar turn as Mammy Trott and the fantastic Charlene Boyd of River City will take on the role as Fairy Jill.
Ryan told Lanarkshire Live: "We’re delighted to be back at Carrigan’s, Blantyre, this year with our third panto, Jock and the Blantyre Beanstalk.
"The support from the community has always been incredible and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years.
"We’re proud to be able to provide Blantyre with a professional panto option, written specifically for them and performed on their doorstep. It makes for a brilliant festive night out. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back again this year. But moooooove fast, as Daisy the cow would say, tickets are flying oot the door!”
Tickets are available now via the Ticket Tailor link on the Blantyre Panto Facebook page. The shows runs at Carrigan’s Blantyre, from Decmeber 18 to December 31.
