ScotRail to be hit by widespread disruption due to further RMT strike action

ScotRail has warned travellers to prepare for further disruption next Saturday (October 29) as new RMT strike action is set to take place.

It will be the second day of striking after the trade union rejected a pay offer made by the train operator. The strikes clash with Scotland's rugby international against Australia at Murrayfield, with those travelling to the match being urged to organise alternative travel.

More than 2,000 employees are part of the RMT union including conductors, ticket examiners, CCTV operators and more.
