Train provider ScotRail have issued an important warning ahead of this weekend as a number of popular routes will be closed.
Bus replacement services will be in order from Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick and Dunbar as essential engineering work will take place between Longniddry and North Berwick and Dunbar. As a result, some lines will be forced to be closed from Saturday September 24 to Sunday 25.
Before setting off, ScotRail are urging passengers to check National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner and to be aware of longer journey times. Queen Margaret University in Musselburgh is holding its undergraduate open day and issued a warning via Twitter.

It read: "Essential maintenance work will affect all ScotRail services between Edinburgh and North Berwick/Dunbar this weekend. Replacement bus services will be in operation for those who were planning to travel to our campus by train."
While there are bus replacements, you can also get to QMU by car. The Lothian Buses, number 30 service and N30 (Night Bus), which go through East Lothian and Edinburgh City Centre, go to the campus, as does the number 45.
The number 30 runs approximately every 10 minutes throughout the day, and the 45 runs every 30 minutes. Bus services take approximately 30-40 minutes from the city centre to campus.
