Scot Gemmill's side are playing both games in Spain at the Pinatar Stadium as preparation for the UEFA 2025 European U21 Championship qualifier, which will kick-off in September.

Johnston, who has been the subject of transfer speculation recently, has been in fine form for the Steelmen and bagged his first goal for the club in last month's 2-1 win over St Mirren.

The games take place in the build-up to and during Hamilton Accies' SPFL Trust Trophy clash with Raith Rovers, but Smith is cup tied for the big game.
