Scots in the north should brace for wet weather and thunderstorms, as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning.
Forecasters are predicting thunder in the northwest Highlands on Monday, June 20 from 10:30am until 8pm, leading to "likely" short term power loss and transport delays. The alert is in place across Fort William, Ullpool and as far north as Durness.
Up to 40mm of "heavy" rain is expected to fall within a three hour period, with some areas seeing 30mm fall in a single hour. As well as thunder and showers, lightning and hail is also expected.
There is a chance of longer journey times due to excess water, impacting road, rail and bus commutes, while services like phone signal and Wi-Fi could be disrupted in affected areas.
While the majority of the country is to stay dry, eastern Scotland will be subject to showers this afternoon. Monday's forecast reports outbreaks of rain and possible thunder will move across England, before clearing eastern Scotland.
