THE Scotland team have left a heartfelt message for the city of Boston as the Tartan Army bids farewell.

On Friday night, Steve Clarke's side lost 0-1 against Morocco following an early goal within the first two minutes of the match.

Despite the disappointing defeat, Tartan Army members out in Boston remain undeterred , with fans now making their way towards Miami for the all-important game against Brazil next week.

The official social media account for Scotland's national teams has now shared a message thanking the people of Boston for their hospitality while the team has been based there.

The adventures of the Tartan Army in Boston have gone viral over the last week, and has even prompted the city to announce plans to officially twin with Glasgow and honour the fans with an appreciation day.

In a post on Twitter/X, the @ScotlandNT account wrote: "As we head for Miami, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the city and people of Boston.

"You’ve made us feel more than welcome in the time we’ve spent with you; you’ve made us feel part of your incredible city.

"Thank you for your generosity and your wonderful hospitality."

The account also shared a selection of images from the Tartan Army's adventures in Boston, including the popular traffic cone tradition which has swept the city and has even involved the mayor.

Scotland's men team are hoping to make it out of the World Cup group stage for the first time in history, with the next game against Brazil taking place on Wednesday.

The game will start at 11pm and will be shown on the BBC.
