Scotland's nightclubs to reopen and bar service to resume as restrictions ease

Bar service is to resume at pubs and clubs across Scotland after the First Minister announced restrictions are being eased.

Measures such as social distancing between groups in venues, mandatory table service and attendance limits on indoor live events – 100 at indoor standing events and 200 at seated events – are to be scrapped beginning next Monday, January 24.

Nightclubs will be permitted to reopen and guidance issued before Christmas to limit indoor gatherings to three households will also be eased from next week.
