Areas with the most dangerous drivers in Scotland have been revealed to be Motherwell and Kirkcaldy.
Road safety is the most vital skill behind the wheel and penalty points are handed out to motorists who drive dangerously. Offences that can rack up penalty points include speeding, drink driving, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Now, car leasing comparison site Moneyshake has analysed DVLA data to find the locations of the biggest offenders.
Scottish postcodes with the most drivers with six or more points include areas in Motherwell, Kirkcaldy, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. ML1 topped the list with 437 such motorists.
Across the country overall, Halifax, Bradford and Wakefield are the top three areas with the most points, as reported by the Mirror.
On the other end of the scale, Scotland is well represented in the top 10 UK areas with the fewest points, with the Shetland Islands, Hebrides, and Galashiels making the list.
There are 18 areas in Scotland in which there are no drivers with six or more points. Shetland Islands motorists have just 367 points across 18,238 licences, meaning an average of one in 149 drivers have three points.

UK motorists are carrying more than 2.5 million penalty points combined - and Scottish drivers have 670,206 points, making up 26% of the total.
Drivers can be disqualified from driving if they build up 12 or more penalty points within three years. New motorists may have their licence revoked if they get six or more points within two years of passing their test.
The points can stay on your record for four years at minimum all the way up to 10 years.
Eben Lovatt, CEO of Moneyshake commented: "To avoid landing points on your licence you need to be cautious when you're on the road and adhere to driving laws.
"If drivers get 12 or more penalty points within three years, they can be banned from driving and for new drivers, if they get six or more points within two years of passing their test, their licence can be cancelled or revoked.
"Any points from a provisional licence will also be carried over once the driver passes their test.
"The more serious the offence, the more points drivers will gain on their licence, and they can stay on your driving record for 4-11 years.
"Points for most offences last for four years, so it’s sometimes possible to have more than 12 points on your licence but still be allowed to drive if the offences are spread out."
