Scotland's best kebab house named as takeaway crowned winner at top awards

A Glasgow takeaway has been crowned the 'Best Kebab House in Scotland' at the 2023 British Kebab Awards.

Shawarma King, located on King Street in the centre of the city, took home the prestigious prize at the ceremony in London on February 28. It marks the second year in a row that the beloved Glasgow kebab shop has taken home the prize.

Other Scots takeaways nominated for the award included 5 in 1 in Montrose, Dante’s Fish Chips & Kebab in Dumfries, Kurdish Best Kebab House in Edinburgh, and Mr Chef in Uddingston.
