A top chippie that was recently named the best in Scotland is casting its net across the country in a fresh search to find its first apprentice fish frier. East Coast Fish & Chips takeaway, in Musselburgh, was recently named the best in Scotland and one of the top 10 in the UK by The Sunday Times.
It also won the title of one of the 50 best fish and chips shops in the UK for the third year running in 2022 by leading trade publication, Fry Magazine.
Backed by the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), the popular chippie has now set its sights on bringing fresh talent into the industry by creating a new 12-week apprenticeship for someone looking to kick start their career at the top end of the fish and chip industry.
