Hapless Scotland suffered a Dublin drubbing at the hands of a rejuvenated Ireland.
Steve Clarke 's side went down with a whimper as goals from Alan Browne, Troy Parrott and Michael Obafemi clinched a convincing Nations League victory for the Boys in Green.
Scotland, on the other hand, were miles off the pace in an embarrassing result and performance.
Here's how Record Sport's Gordon Parks rated the players.
CRAIG GORDON: Great reactions to shove a glancing header wide of goal in third minute. Faultless at opener as his backline became statues and given no chance with either the second or a thunderbolt third which flew past him. 6
ANTONY RALSTON: Threw the shackles on James McLean and combined superbly with McGinn to provide a potent early threat on the right. There were even some wing trickery and sublime deliveries from the flank but failed to track Parrot's run at Ireland's second. 6
JACK HENDRY: Solid start but failed to react at decisive moments as Scotland were punished at set-pieces and a straight ball in behind him. Did a decent job of making interceptions and attempting to build play from the back before being replaced by Gilmour at the interval. 5
GRANT HANLEY: Panic stations after gifting possession to Obafemi in 10th minute scare which came to nothing. Central figure in a back three but beaten in the air by Duffy at Ireland's first. Was the target for every Scotland corner but again found Duffy more than his equal. Brilliant goal-line clearance. 5
SCOTT McKENNA: Fired his first diagonal pass straight into touch but crucial headed touch to deny Obafemi a tap-in. Best of a back three and was strong and aggressive in his challenges but guilty by association of being part a defensive calamity. 5
ANDY ROBERTSON: Another hugely frustrating game for the skipper as he attempted to inspire with trademark forays down his flank but there was to be no end product. Continued to carry the fight to the Irish when the cause was long gone. 6
SCOTT McTOMINAY: Twisted ankle in the opening seconds after over-extending in a tackle but recovered but didn't deliver the drive or control from a midfield deployment. Dropped deeper in second-half reshuffle but another display which marked the Manchester United man as a Mr Average. 5
CALLUM McGREGOR: Snapped into challenges and harried Ireland to try and get a bit of possession and foothold but best work was done in his own half which told a story of a Scotland side being dominated in the engine room. 5
JOHN McGINN: Spurned a 13th minute opportunity with a tame strike into the arms of Kelleher and an uncharacteristic display where the talisman struggled to make much of a contribution. Flat and uninspired and removed early from proceedings. 5
RYAN CHRISTIE: Looked in the mood as he sparked a few early attacks but it would soon become a chase and harry display as he went in search of possession.Capable of so much better but starved of quality ball to work with. Booked. 5
CHE ADAMS: A slow burner of a performance but fired into life as game progressed to prove himself a threatening foil for the creative talents of sidekick Christie but it wouldn't last. Great movement which came to nothing and replaced early. 5
Substitutes
BILLY GILMOUR: On at the break but first contribution was to be dispossessed by Obafemi at Ireland's third but otherwise neat and tidy as he attempted to orchestrate when game was all but over. 4
STUART ARMSTRONG: Added energy and pace for last 30 minutes and an attacking dimension which had been sorely lacking. 4
ROSS STEWART: Given another taste of international football with half an hour of action where he failed to make much of an impression. 2
JACOB BROWN: At least managed to register an effort on target with a header but too little, too late. 3
JOHN SOUTTAR: On for last 16 minutes in place of McKenna and kept it simple in damage limitation exercise. 2
Not used: McCrorie, Kelly, Patterson,Taylor, Turnbull, Campbell, Hickey.
