Scotland have three points and three goals to their name in the opening game of their EURO 2024 qualifying campaign.
Scotland began the game with some intensity and John McGinn seemed to be leading the charge for the opening goal. The Aston Villa man was in the right spot to volley home Andy Robertson's deflected cross in a super move down the left had side on 20 minutes. The home side carried a threat especially down the flanks throughout the first period.
In the second half, Clarke's men couldn't quite find an opening with a flurry of blocked efforts with twenty to play causing the most concern for Cyprus. Substitute Scott McTominay ended the long wait for a second goal, latching on to a Lyndon Dykes header to smash home. The Manchester United star was at it again to bag a brace with a cool finish in added time.

Jumping the Gunn
Angus Gunn made his Scotland debut at Hampden.
And really the Norwich keeper had almost nothing to do.
One nervy moment in the first half saw him slip at the edge of the area but he recovered with ease.
A quiet afternoon between the sticks for the new Scotland cap.
Super McGinn breaking records
John McGinn continues to show up for Scotland and defy the odds.
The Aston Villa man is uber-popular with the Tartan Army an his goal return under Steve Clarke reflects the magnitude of his contributions.
Since the ex-Killie boss took over McGinn has made the most appearances with 39, with no other member of the squad providing more goals with 16 and more assists with six.
A super stat for a super player.
Spain next
Scotland never really got out of second gear at Hampden but didn't need to against Cyprus.
Yet Tuesday night against Spain offers a completely different test for Steve Clarke's side.
Some world class talent will be on display in Mount Florida and the Tartan Army will need to be in fine form to roar the team on.
With a quick turnaround in games, there could be some changes when Luis de la Fuente's men come to Glasgow.
