Scot baffled after woman caught on doorbell camera stealing plant from driveway

A Scots homeowner has been left baffled after a woman was caught stealing a plant from her driveway on her doorbell camera.

The Edinburgh resident, who lives in Clermiston, shared the video in a bid to raise awareness.

The Ring doorbell camera captured the footage shortly before 1am on the morning of Sunday, June 11.

As reported by Edinburgh Live, a woman - who is wearing a summer dress - appears to have covered her face with a light scarf.

She can be seen walking brazenly to the area next to the front door before bending down and picking up the plant in one arm.

The woman then turns around and walks directly out of the driveway and down the street with the family’s plant in its pot.

The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "Someone appeared around 1am on Sunday morning, she walked straight into the drive and helped herself to the artificial plant."

They added they were absolutely puzzled by the behaviour and hope the person can be identified.
