Scores of Edinburgh Harry Styles fans pictured in huge queues for merchandise ahead of gig

Huge queues outside Murrayfield have been spotted as Harry Styles fans line up to purchase merchandise ahead of his highly anticipated shows in Edinburgh.

Earlier, we reported how several fans had arrived in the capital two days before his gigs on Friday and Saturday, two of which had travelled all the way from Melbourne and Perth in Australia.

Just hours later, one video on social media has captured a huge queue along the pavement on Roseburn Street as far as the eye can see as gig-goers are likely to be waiting well into the evening.

Scores of people were also seen waiting outside in similar circumstances last week following Beyonce's sell-out show at Murrayfield as part of her global renaissance tour.

Despite the stadium opening at 5pm to ticket holders on Friday and Saturday, revellers were allowed access on Thursday afternoon to purchase their own Harry Styles merchandise including clothes, bags and magnets.

Hundreds of people can be seen waiting in line which started to build up around 6pm on Thursday, May 25. Two fans in particular who were in a separate and smaller queue to get into Murrayfield and secure their spot right next to the stage on Friday have camped out at dozens of Harry Styles shows over the years and met each other doing so.

Cathryn and Fauve, from Australia, have seen the 29-year-old over 60 times combined and said: "We met doing this too, we've camped out in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. We've both been here since before midnight yesterday (Thursday) and have just slept in the queue.

"Once you camp out once or twice you kind of have to keep doing it. It's basically to get barrier standing spots which is the best place to be and the gig is more fun. It's fun at the back too but it's even better the further forward you are."

BT Murrayfield has confirmed that all tickets for the shows on Friday and Saturday are required to be printed at home before attending. They said: "You MUST print your ticket before coming to the venue, otherwise you will not gain entry."
