Scientists have discovered a new species of 'music frog' in Arunachal Pradesh.
The speciality of this new species of frog, Nidirana noadihing, is that both the male and female are vocal, they said.
"This newly discovered frog has a unique call pattern consisting of two-three notes. Initially, we heard the call from a marsh near the Noa-Dihing river, which is quite similar to wild duck species, which we never heard before," the scientists said in an article published in the November 15 edition of the journal Zootaxa.
