Summer holidays are coming up, parents are thinking about back-to-school and there are social invitations getting dished out left right and centre. So really, there’s only one thing for it: a new pair of shoes.
That said, money is tight and people are watching their pennies - but a little-known loyalty scheme could see shoppers save £5 on their next pair of kicks.
Whether you’re looking for a new pair of heels to wear with that occasion dress, are in dire need of some sandals for your upcoming holiday, or need to pick up black shoes ready for the return to school in September, shoppers can take advantage of money off their next shop by signing up to the Schuh Club.
It’s the retailer's first ever loyalty programme, and offers discounts to new sign ups, where shoppers can earn points for money off their orders.
Customers can sign up to be part of the Schuh Club for free via the Schuh website, downloading a loyalty card to their smartphone wallet to start earning points.
As soon as you sign up, you’ll be sent an email for a £5 reward. This discount is valid for 21 days from the email send date and entitles shoppers to a fiver off their next purchase. The terms state it can only be redeemed on full priced items, and when the total is over £25. They can however, be used both in-store and online.
The programme - which launched in May - offers members the opportunity to earn points as they shop, which are then converted into money-off rewards and automatically sent to customers to spend on their next purchase.
Each time they shop, they must enter their loyalty ID number or show their pass to a member of staff to earn points. Every 100 points will earn shoppers £5 off , but points will also give members exclusive access to promotions and events.
Points that can be earned will be displayed next to the price of the product, and seems to be one point per pound spent. This means you’ll get £5 off every time you spend £100 in store or online.
You can sign up to the Schuh Club for free here.
